Will replacing windows disrupt my home?
While there will be some disruption during installation, professional installers work efficiently to minimize inconvenience, protect the interior of your home, clean up and ensure a smooth process.
Are there any energy efficiency benefits to replacing windows?
Yes, modern replacement windows often feature advanced technologies such as low-E coatings, inert gas mixtures, multiple panes, and improved seals, which help to reduce energy loss and lower heating and cooling costs.
Are thin triples more energy efficient than triple pane glass?
Thin triples and traditional triple-pane glass both increase energy efficiency in windows, but they do so in slightly different ways.
- Thin Triples: These typically involve using thinner glass panes than those found in traditional triple-pane windows. The thinner glass reduces the weight of the window and are cheaper to manufacture. However, because the glass is thinner, it may not provide as much insulation as thicker glass panes.
- Traditional Triple Pane: These windows consist of three standard thickness glass panes with two spaces filled with insulating gas. The added thickness of the glass panes provides better insulation and soundproofing compared to single or double-pane windows.
In terms of energy efficiency, traditional triple-pane windows generally offer better insulation properties due to the thicker glass panes. They can help reduce heat transfer, improve indoor comfort, and lower energy bills by minimizing the need for heating and cooling. However, thin triples may still provide significant energy savings compared to single or double-pane windows, depending on factors such as climate, orientation, and home design.
Ultimately, the choice between thin triples and traditional triple-pane windows depends on various factors, including energy efficiency goals, and preferences regarding window aesthetics and performance.
Do I need to replace all of my windows at once?
Not all of our customers do all the windows at once. You can prioritize based on urgency, budget, or specific areas of concern.Â
How do I choose the right replacement windows for my home?
Consider factors like architectural style, climate, desired features, such as energy efficiency and noise reduction, and maintenance preferences when selecting replacement windows.Â
Is professional installation necessary for replacing windows?
Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper insulation, fitting, sealing, and warranty coverage. Experienced installers will also address any unforeseen challenges that may arise during the process.
Does your company remove and reinstall window treatments?
We do not remove blinds as part of our service. We recommend having the company that installed the window treatments remove and reinstall to prevent damage. In certain cases, blinds might need to be relocated within the window opening due to specific circumstances.
Will the installation team remove and reinstall alarms?
We do not work on alarm systems. We require you to contact your alarm company to coordinate removal and reinstallation of the sensors before your installation date.Â
Will the installation team move my furniture?
We do not move furniture. The installers will need three feet of clearance in front of each opening.  Please remove any art from walls or sculptures from cabinets near areas of replacement. This is especially important when having siding installed.
